Marios Georgiou, a gymnast from Cyprus, told that self-justification urged him to continue in the all-around final at this spring's European Championships in Romania despite an injured ankle.
"It wasn't for the crowd," said Georgiou, who withdrew midway through the all-around final at last summer's Rio Olympic Games, as well, because of an injury to the same ankle. "It was first for me to compete, and second to prove to myself that there are no limits."
